Rose Ringed Parakeets

I left at 6.30am in the rain with my head torch. The River Bourne was wild and swollen with rain. It was very dark in Clearhedges Wood and Dene Park Wood. I had breakfast of hot vegetable soup at Ightham Mote. I then went on to One Tree Hill near Knole Park. It was a misty view from up here, sitting on the granite bench. Then I went down to Underriver (and found a couple of chestnuts but not many. Also, I grabbed a couple of Meadow mushrooms, for a tasty meal!) and cut across to Shipbourne. I saw dozens of Rose Ringed Parakeets near Budds. It won't stop raining. There is mud a-plenty everywhere!
